Mechanical figures, cogs turning and spinning
Bringing life to all around
Musical boxes and games and surprises
Hidden treasures waiting to be found

Santa's work is cut out, one month to go
Could he just send me a sign?
Wish I could join his elves and his reindeer...
I just hope he can read my mind

Polishing, building and sculpting and carving
Endless and endless, we toil in our craft
Creating the perfect gifts for children
A gaggle of elves comprises the staff

The wonder of the Arctic landscape outside but
We're stuck on the infinite production line
We're making these toys all of the year round
But it still feels like we'll run out of time

Up above on a sleigh in the weightless sky
How I'd love to be there with Santa, so high
One wish to see him there in Lapland
What I'd give to be there holding his hand

I look at the toys and I'm starting to think
Maybe they're not what I need
It's something that you can't see or hear
A thought that's growing from a seed into...

Something totally wondrous, I can hardly describe it
But I wish for something more
A Christmas full of family and love but within
Santa's sleigh I'd really like to soar...

What do you mean we're ho-ho-hosting a child?
From the workshop we thought that humans were banned
I guess we can make an exception this time but
Only this once, else we will all expand
And break out in a rash from an allergic reaction to
Having a child around in the first place
Never mind about that, their wish will be granted
Just picture the delight upon their face
